How To Jailbreak iOS 9.1 (iPhone, iPad & iPod) Using Pangu

Last updated on

In this video, you will learn how to jailbreak iOS 9.1, untethered. The procedure only works with 64-bit iOS devices, on iOS 9.1.  Note that since this is the first release of this particular jailbreak, it’s a little buggy.  Therefore, you may want to wait for the next release or wait until the jailbreak for 9.2 or 9.2.1 (anticipated in the near future) is released.

Follow the steps below, to jailbreak your iOS 9.1 device:

1. Turn off passcode protection
2. Place your device in to “Airplane” mode
3. Sign out of iCloud, if signed in
4. If your device’s storage is full, you will need to have at least 500 MB free (1 GB is desirable), to perform the jailbreak
5. Trust your iOS device, on your computer
6. If not already installed, install iTunes on your computer
7. Backup your device locally, to your computer
8. Download Pangu 9.1 to your computer:
9. Lauch Pangu and click “Start”
10. Since you should have already backed up your device in step 6, click “Already backup”
11. Once your device has rebooted, turn on “Airplane” mode
12. Open Pangu app on your iOS device
13. Once your device has rebooted, turn off “Airplance” mode and re-enable your passcode
14. Turn on Wi-Fi
15. Launch Cydia, on your iOS device and install all the latest updates
